NSW: Model Sarah O Hare visits Sydney for fashion awards

SYDNEY, Aug 30 AAP - It was a night of glamour, glitz and stunning fashion when Smirnoff
presented the 1999 international fashion awards in Sydney tonight.

Supermodel Sarah O'Hare hosted the event to showcase the cutting edge of emerging
Australian fashion designers.

With no Lachlan Murdoch in sight, Sarah attended the event with mum Carol and sister
Samantha.

Other Aussie celebrities in attendance were designer Collette Dinnigan and socialite Robert
Rosen.

Nineteen student designers chosen for the finals had to present two garments, one
avant-garde and the other a commercial variation of the theme, Virtual Nature.

The winner will fly to Hong Kong to compete against over 20 international finalists, and
the global winner will be selected by a panel of fashion authorities including supermodel
Helena Christiansen.
