Qld: Missing snorklers found safe and well

BRISBANE, Feb 1 AAP - Two snorkellers have been rescued after spending several hours
clinging to a rockface in waters off Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

The men, aged 40 and 25, had been snorkelling off Double Island Point, north of Noosa,
yesterday afternoon, but authorities were called when they failed to return to shore.

They were last seen snorkelling near rocks at 3pm (AEST).

Police, Coastguard and the Queensland Emergency Services helicopter began searching for the men.

The helicopter found the men clinging to a rockface shortly after 11pm (AEST) yesterday
though both were unhurt.
